The Little Drooler

Olivia has caught the drooling bug. Ok, it's not a bug, but she has sure turned into a drooler. So, most likely now when you hold her you'll end up wet. She's also though getting very smiley. It's not too hard anymore to get her to smile big at you and then to also start cooing and making sounds back at you. It's a very fun time to get the big smiles out of her. She's still on an odd sleeping schedule though, so it's harder to get her to sleep when you really want sleep. Usually it's just been one time in the night she'll get up thinking she must eat, but that's still too much for the sleep-loving me. Tomorrow, it's off time for Olivia. She'll be home with mom as no school for Easter weekend. Heather also gets monday off. I get nothing off, and pry will work a lot of overtime hours on the days she gets off this weeks. It's hard to believe that Heather is only 4 weeks away from summer break. I think I should get a summer break too. It's not fair! I'm being discriminated against.

A Good Friday Afternoon

Well, I owe it to my daughter for getting me out of work today. Well, actually it wasn't her that got me out of work, it was that our daycare provider took part of the day off, so because Heather has to teach all day, I get to handle the daycare early releases. So, I had everything planned out. Go get Olivia, bring her home, and we can sit in the chair together and take a nap. Well, that didn't happen at all. It went just fine, but she decided it was time to eat, and then it was time to play, and then time to change the diaper. Man, it was harder than being at work the entire time. But, we survived, plus, I got to spend quality time with our smiling little baby girl.

1st Day of Daycare

Well, today was Olivia's first day of daycare. We knew this was coming for a while, but it's basically our first big event of little Olivia's life. I got to take her to daycare this morning, and all went well in the drop off, and reports were that she was quite good throughout the day. That makes me feel alot better, as I found it was quite a bit different than I thought it was going to be. I was pretty stable through the whole process, but found myself missing just being able to see her, or go pick her up like I could when I was working at home. It was kind of a bummer, actually. But, I was getting text message updates through the day, so that helped pass the time. Heather got to go pick her up from day care, so we are getting into our regular routine, until I have to travel, then we'll have to get a new plan. We have that plan, just haven't needed to execute it. So now, we're enjoying out evening watching the Twins, and pretty soon the national championship game. I'll be watching that here shortly supporting Butler. I cheered for them last year, and will again this year. The only thing to make it better would be Kentucky vs. Butler, because then I'd really care less who won, I'd like them both, but that's not the case. Now, I just want Butler to end Uconn. They are getting too cocky for their own good.
