First Win

I didn't get a chance to update you from our basketball game on Monday. Last night, my parents made it to town so I spent the evening with them, and uncle Paul. I've spent the last two days in quite a bit of pain from the strain of the game. I guess having to carry your team is harder than I remember. We picked up our first win of the season on Monday. Our team is now 1-2. I came off the bench for us since it was my first league game. But, I was a major contributor. We won 55-48, and I had 10 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds, and was 4-6 from the free throw line. Now, before you get too bent out of shape about only shooting 66% from the line, consider that my free throw percentage was 40% higher then the rest of the team combined. I'm not lying or exaggerating that either. I made our team's first free throw with about 3 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter. That made us as a team 1-12 at that point. I got a few more attempts in the fourth quarter as the opponents were trying to make runs at us, but I fended them off with free throws, and a key layup during their fouling stretch. Most importantly, we won the game, and it was a blast. I was dead tired, but it was fun. I can't wait for Monday to return to hit the floor again. It was also reported that the past couple of days, my jersey sales are up at the company store.
