Hectic Holidays
Well, the holiday season will wrap up this weekend bringing in 2012. It's been quite a 2011. Here is the rundown of the highlight reel:
1. Olivia joined our family 10 Feb 2011
2. Celebrated one year of marriage 27 Mar 2011
3. Olivia's First Camping trip Memorial weekend
4. Olivia started "talking" 27 Jun 2011
5. Sold the Motorcycle 9 July 2011
6. Olivia's first Thanksgiving
7. Olivia starts Walking 10 Dec 2011
8. Olivia's first Christmas
9. Olivia's First Haircut 25 Dec 2011
10. Olivia's First French Fry 30 Dec 2011 (that's an important one!)
Those are just a few of the memorable events that happened this year. Olivia has stepped up the walking (no pun intended). She is now extremely stable and it's become her main mode of transportation. I often look at her and how big she is getting and wonder what happened to that little girl that we brought home from the hospital back in February. Well, that little girl was up to all kinds of things over the Christmas Holiday. Here is to wishing you a happy 2012!

Let the season begin
It's already Christmas time for us. Tomorrow we will have Olivia's first Christmas at my parents. Actually, technically it's at my brothers but still, it's all the same. Tomorrow morning I'm going to do some light maintenance on the blazer, then we'll head over to let the festivities begin. We'll be here through Saturday morning when we head to Minnesota to Heather's family to celebrate. It will be a great time for sure!
So, we shall see how Olivia does with presents and opening. We have the video camera ready to roll. It should come in handy this weekend! Olivia says "Merry Christmas!"

Walking Around
The third member of the Wipf family (that would be Olivia) is now a walking machine. I can't believe that our little girl, who isn't too little anymore, is walking around and making us chase her all over. She is still a bit uneasy on her feet, but can cover a lot of ground pretty easily. So, now we are always keeping one person on her. It's a big change for all of us, and Olivia just seems to be more and more fearless as she gets more freedom. We often wonder where that little girl went that we brought home from the hospital. She is going to be one year old in just a couple of months.
We have been doing some indoor improvements around the house recently. Last weekend was a kitchen weekend. We took one of Heather's Black Friday purchases, a microwave, and put it in over the stove. That helps open up a lot of room on the counters now. We have also been working on the pantry/storage closet for the kitchen. I've now changed the configuration and put 5 shelves right up to the door now instead of requiring us to go into the closet to get things. Shelf number 6 is going up soon, as I just got the last shelf this week.
This coming weekend, who knows, I may do some work in the bedroom, or maybe outside finish up some things before the snow comes in. I may just do nothing as well. Who knows, we'll just see what comes our way!

One Adventurous Sunday
It was almost a college-like trip. My brother-in-law had some computer issues, and I couldn't get anything to work to get him up and running again, so we decided to just meet up in Worthington. It was a spur of the moment trip, and we got together and did some work. While the computer didn't end up working quite like we'd hoped, we did get a different computer to him so he can keep up with school while his is out of commission. So while it wasn't an entirely successful trip, it did work out so that we got him running again.
Well, the rest of the week is suddenly turned into getting Olivia healthy. We found out there is some stuff floating around that has been near daycare, so we're going to try and keep Olivia home and get things into her to keep her healthy. She hasn't shown any signs of being sick, and she's been extremely resistant to anything so far, so we're hoping that it will continue!
