Baby News

Well, this past week has been quite an adventure. I was just coming off the big events from the Tennessee trip, and now am working really hard, both at work, and at the house. The issue has been that I've been home all week. I've been fine, and actually, been working the same number of hours that I always work, only I've been doing it from the comfort of my office.

Now don't get me wrong, the office here isn't always comfortable. It can be very cold because of the location: the north west corner of the house. We also need new windows, and with these two, the wind cools the room off. Anyhow, the room isn't the issue, the issue is the fact that I'm at home taking care of Heather. Now, she's doing ok, but it's some issues that she's developed that made her seem to be having false contractions. At only 30 weeks, this was somewhat concerning to both us and the doctor. So, Heather was basically put on house arrest, and was told to stay off her feet. It's basically been a limited bed rest, but she's been in the couch, chair, and bed all, and I've been trying to keep her there, which isn't an easy feat. Now, the doctor did say she could get up and move around a little, so I'm not constantly jumping out at her to get her back down, but still, trying to keep her still. The hardest thing has been the no travel restrictions. Not that we were planning on going anywhere, but this week we are planning on going somewhere, so we'll have to see. Otherwise, it may be a quiet Christmas here with Heather and I and LB. Ohh, and speaking of LB, we had another ultrasound here on Friday to make sure things were ok. Of course, LB showed off a bit and was moving and passed some kind of physical that she had. Oh, yes, that's a she. We have fairly good reason to believe that we're going to get a daughter here in February. It's quite exciting for everyone. I think the most excited person is my brother. This little girl is going to be as spoiled as a little girl could be.
