Another Successful Night

The hardwood has been good to Martin Group in the past couple of times we've played. We're now 2-2 heading into the Christmas break after last nights 1 point win. It was a slightly faster game then we're used to for sure. We had seven players, and one got into foul trouble right away, and actually fouled out early in the 4th quarter, so that left us with 6 guys. That doesn't give you much for subs. I played all but 2 minutes of the game in the second quarter. What made the game so fast was our opponents that came from Marty. They were up and down the floor like mad, so we had to scramble back, and get on the defensive right away. I slept like a rock! I'm also not too sore from the performance either. I came out and hit a 3 pointer on our first possession, and led the way for us with 17 points, which matches my career high at any level. I scored that many in 8th grade once, and again last night. That accounted for just under 1/3 of our total offensive output. This is alot different for me then high school. I'm scoring alot more, and I'm making free throws. For those that watched me in high school, don't be shocked. And, I don't know what got into me, but I'm 10/14 on the season so far. I'm also shooting 33% from behind the arc, and I'd be close to 50% from the floor. Anyhow, most importantly, we have 2 straight wins heading into Christmas break. I believe now we're off until January. I'm thinking by the time March rolls around, and we get to the playoffs, I'm going to be pretty worn down.
