Well, actually the rain has indeed gone away. However, our poor camping weather spell continued over the 4th of July. We spent over a day and a half watching the rain. Our arrival Thursday night was complicated by the rain when we were riding in. It was fun to get out and ride, and i set a career high on the motorcycle so far going 226 miles one way on an adventure. However, all 4 days I was gone Thursday through Sunday I got rained on while riding at some point. That really puts a damper on the fun of that kind of event. However, I got some time to play some games, ride, and enjoy the last couple of days of camping. And, I finally got one up on mom. It was the highlight of the trip!
My dad caught a fish. He and Trent had been trying since May, and he finally snagged one. So, they cooked it up and served it as an appetizer for supper. I found it tasty, and enjoyed it. Lisa, however did not. She isn't a fish fan one bit, and wouldn't touch it. Since my brother just got a motorcycle, it was the hot topic of the weekend. Mom, of course, has been opposed to the idea since I first brought it up over a year ago, and that dislike has continued now that Trent has one too. So, she decided she was going to be funny, and said that if Lisa ate a piece of the fish, she'd ride on a motorcycle. So, immediately the work began on Lisa to just choke one piece down. And wouldn't you know, in one incredibly brave moment, she did! Mom's fate was sealed! Later, she got a ride on a motorcycle going as high as 35 miles per hour at times. While she admits she didn't necessarily like it, it wasn't nearly as bad as she thought it might be. We're currently shopping for a bike for dad now!
